Geography & Climatology Professor

Hugo Romero has a long tenure as geography academic a the University of Chile where he has been the director of the Postgraduate School of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism, part of the Andres Bello Campus, from Universidad de Chile. He hold a PhD in Geography at the University of Zaragoza. And is currently the President of “Sociedad Chilena de Geógrafos” and has been awarded by a variety of national and latin-american recognitions, in adition to be been avowed into the bests exponents of the discipline at Latin-America on the XVII “Encuentro de Geógrafos Latinoamericanos” in 2019 organized by Universidad Católica de Ecuador. Within their research areas, there is climatology, environment and territory, sustainable urban-regional development, environmental sustainability, glacier studies, climate change, and assets for climate modeling and climate science research.

Doctor Hugo Romero has a solid experience as teacher and faculty as an scientific from the Chilean geography avant-garde. His experience and work result in fascinating and nurturing experience for any professional  student that get the chance to participate in common research project and classes, as it has been a big influence and set perspectives to the activity, problem and conditions of the studies of climate.
