A PRESS FOR THE PLANET – UNESCO & CHILE

In May 2, 3 and 4 of May, on this present 2024. Chile will be the host of the international yearly event for World Press Freedom co-organized by Unesco and a yearly country host. The motive of this 31th version is recap the last convention in Chile (early 90s) and revise the current world’s challenges along the most important of all, saving our planet.

The Future School have the honor to organize the participation of Chilean education organizations and artists that accepted this challenge and invitation to create and install an Spatial Art intervention, assisting the promotion of environmental journalism from different world’s regions.

The invitation as to translate environmental research journalism into the universal language of Art, seeking social promotion of the denouncing aspects of the way we as humanity are mistreating our planet with severe direct or indirect consequences.

60 Days to produce an Art Installation, we thank and congratulate to the organizations that have accepted this challenge, and embraced the opportunity to connect the purpose of Art and Education, with journalism and environmentalism.  Using materials and process as sustainable as possible, promoting learning experiences and the will to connect societies and regions of the world with our us Chile a country and the environmental consciousness.
